Tahini Tomato Gravy

Ingredients:

Onion(s) dice or slice as desired, amount as desired

1 24-oz can pureed tomatoes

1 – 2 tablespoons of tahini, more if desired

2 – 3 tablespoons cornstarch

1 teaspoon onion powder, more if desired

1 teaspoon garlic powder, more if desired

1 rounded tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes

Salt to taste

Additional herbs, such as basil or bay leaves, as desired

Directions:

If using onions, cook in a small amount of water in a medium pot until they are soft.

Then add remaining ingredients to onions and cook on medium heat, stirring frequently until thickened.

Delicious over cornbread, baked beans, or cooked vegetables.
