Ingredients:
2 cups cooked garbanzos (15-ounce can)
2 tablespoons sesame tahini (or try ½ cup roasted peanuts or cashews)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 clove garlic or ½ teaspoon garlic powder
salt to taste (1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon)
½ teaspoon cumin
½ to 1 cup water (or juice from canned garbanzos)
6-8 sprigs cilantro leaves, optional
Directions:
Blend all ingredients together, except cilantro, adding water in the amount needed to the desirable thickness,
Blend until smooth, about 1 minute.
Add cilantro leaves and blend briefly—just enough to chop.
Makes 3 cups.
