Delicious Vegetarian Baked Beans


2 cups dried beans

4-6 cups water

3 tablespoons molasses

1  1/2 teaspoons salt

2 tablespoons cold-pressed vegetable oil

3/4 cup  tomato paste plus a little water

1/2 teaspoon celery salt

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 large onion


Soak beans overnight and discard the water. Cover beans with fresh water and

cook the beans until tender. (Do not add other ingredients until beans are cooked).

Then add rest of ingredients and bake in a casserole for 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes to one hour.

Serves 4 to 6
