Enjoy this sugar-free recipe!
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup of warm water
2 c cornmeal
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup organic quick oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup of unsweetened applesauce
2 cups hot water
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together.
Pour hot water into applesauce, add dissolve yeast and dry ingredients and mix well.
Spoon into oiled muffin tins and let rise 20 minutes.
Place in preheated oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
Serving size: 2 dozen muffins.
Additional notes: May also be baked as cornbread.
