Ingredients:
2 cups water
½ cup tahini (sesame butter)
¼ cup yeast flakes
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons cold-pressed oil
1 cup cashews, rinsed
¼ teaspoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons onion powder
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons salt
Directions:
Blend well the above ingredients in a blender and then add 2 cups more of water and blend well.
Put in pan over medium-high heat and bring to boil, stirring constantly until thick.
Use in lasagna, pizza, or bake it by spreading batter thin onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or until it looks firm and lightly browned. Cut into squares and use as a sandwich filling.
Healthful cooking tip: Try adding kale, spinach, or broccoli florets to your pasta dish or on top of your pizza before you bake it!
