2 cups sprouted organic wheat
2 cups steamed barley
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons cold-pressed virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons Braggs Aminos
1 tablespoon onion powder or ¼ cup chopped onion
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sage
½ cup organic whole wheat bread crumbs
Mix all ingredients together and measure out about 1/3 cup amounts of mixture and drop into a fairly hot skillet and form into patties. Brown patties on both sides, about 5-7 minutes each side.
Place between burger buns and serve with ketchup, etc.
May also be served with gravy as a meatless main dish.
