Ingredients:

2 cups soaked garbanzos

¾ cup water

2 tablespoons unfermented soy sauce or Braggs Liquid Aminos

1 small onion or 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 ½ cups soaked organic, non-GMO soybeans

1 teaspoon vegan beef-like seasoning or chicken-style seasoning

Sprinkle garlic powder

Salt to taste

½ cup water, available for grinding

Directions:

Toss out the water that the garbanzo beans were soaking in. Combine the beans with the 3/4 cup fresh water, onion (quartered), and other seasonings.

Blend until medium-fine then pour into a bowl.

Grind soybeans medium-fine. Use some of the 1/2 cup of fresh water to help grind the soybeans. Add to garbanzo mixture and mix well.

Heat skillet to medium heat and add 1 tablespoon (or less) cold-pressed oil. Scoop ½ cup of mixture into heated skillet. You can flatten the mixture to the size you desire.

Cover, let cook 10 minutes or until nicely browned.

Turn, cover, and let cook for an additional 10 minutes

Reduce heat, let cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Yield: 8 servings. May be baked as a loaf or in a casserole.
